Biography
Marianne Parshley MD FACP is a general internist in Portland. Her practice is primarily geriatric and patients with chronic complex illness. Many years ago she graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and the Internal Medicine residency at Providence Portland Medical Center. Marianne came late to formal palliative care, graduating from the UW PCTC certificate program in 2019 and completing the Vital Talk faculty training the same year. As part of the Providence Medical Group interprofessional primary palliative care team, she is happy to help bring primary palliative care to our clinics. Outside the clinic walls, as a Regent of the American College of Physicians and with the Oregon Medical Association she works locally and nationally on advocacy to reimagine and recreate a health care system that is equitable, just, high value, and affordable for all. When not working, she loves to spend time with her husband, her grown daughters and their partners, and to be outside traveling, especially by foot and by bike.
